If you ever want to feel the effects of alcohol again, I suggest you stay away from the blue moon, leinenkugel, shock top (just to name a few) brands altogether. They're weak. Over priced, and a whole 12 pack makes a more significant dent to your wallet than to your brain cells.
DogfishHead's (Connecticut) 60 minute, 90, minute, and 120 minute IPA's are some of the best i've ever had, worth the extra dough. Anything Rogue (Oregon), especially the Dead Guy Ale. Russian River's (Central Coast) Blind Pig and Pliny the Elder, oh yea. Even Redhooks Longhammer IPA and ESB are gems. Lost Coast Brewery makes some good ones too..Newcastles, Werewolf and Original. Speakeasy's BigDaddy IPA!
Best beer I've ever tried though is Pliny the Elder. Wish I had easier access to it where I'm at. Can't complain too much about a 4 hour drive though consider people travel from around the world to Santa Rosa to try that beer.

With all the homebrew I've been making, it's hard to call a favorite. But I do collect bottles for my own brews and have many chances to try store brands. New ones like the new brewery down in Houston has created some gems. Rennaisance Cowboy with a picture of some chainmailed head with a cowboy hat on it is pretty delicious and priced too high. $6.99 for 24 oz is high but consider it two beers and you still get it for less than a bar price. It might take a while for it to show up on countrywide shelves but hey, forwarned....
My own Irish Stoudt made with Agave Nectar is delicious. My Prairie Wheat is great. The Abby Ale I made with ABDIJ by brewferm is almost history as they don't stock that brand anymore. I have many different styles that keeps me away from spending all my money on beer. And wines? I've really steppped out there. Ports and a Leibfraumilch I just bottled are delicious. I've been trying and trying to get another one of those Okanagan Peach Icewine kits with no success. I haven't tried the Blue Moon Agave Nectar yet because of the twistoff tops don't fit in my collection. I've passed on quite a few beers for the reason alone. Twistoffs can't be retopped and I'm not going to save those bottles.
